DFK Cocoa Limited was established in 2018 as a commodity trading company situated in Tema industrial city of Ghana. We specialize in the purchase and export of high quality semi-finished cocoa products from certified cocoa processing companies in Ghana.

Our unique advantage is being able to handle customer orders ranging from as low as 5MT to thousands of metric tonnes. We have a skilled team who are very experienced in international quality standards relating to cocoa products trading. We receive orders from customers across the globe and process them round-the-clock (24/7) to meet and exceed customer expectation. We export to every part of the globe where semi-finished cocoa products are in demand.

Ghana is the second largest producer of cocoa in the world, largest exporter after Ivory Coast a neighboring country in West Africa. The cocoa industry in Ghana has been one of the mainstays of the Ghanaian economy and provides the third largest source of export earnings for Ghana.

Ghana’s cocoa beans have long been known for their quality and depth of flavor. Thus, the quality of Ghana cocoa beans has become the world’s standard against which all cocoa is measured.

Ghana’s cocoa industry comprises of three segments: Production, Processing and Marketing. Production is dominated by small holder farmers scattered around nine regions of the country; Ashanti, Western, Western North, Oti, Central, Volta, Bono, Ahafo and Eastern Regions. About 70% of cocoa beans produced in Ghana are exported as raw beans. Only 30% of the total volume is processed locally.

Processing is done by known international giants like Cargill, Barry, Touton and some local processors. Cocoa processing in Ghana is done under strict hygienic conditions according to internationally recognized food safety standards by both foreign and local processing companies. The processing companies are located in the major industrial cities of Tema, Takoradi and Kumasi.
